Sampling on Concentric Circles

چکیده
Two forms of a sampling theorem for concentric circles are established for a bandlimited two-dimensional (2-D) function. The location of the samples is prescribed either on equidistant circles or on the roots of the Bessel function J0( ). Both methods give comparable results, however, the number of samples required for their numerical evaluation is significantly less for the root-sampling formulation.

A Sampling Strategy using Multi-Scale Annular Operators
Annular operators may be used to group image data by detecting symmetric relationships between edges. The spatial extent of operators is bounded by two concentric circular regions having diierent radii, r 1 and r 2. Edges which fall within the annular region between these circles are recorded, thereby enabling the detection of circular correlation between edge segments. In order to detect such ...
متن کاملA Camera Calibration Method using Concentric Circles for Vision Applications
In this paper, we present a new method for camera calibration using concentric circles. We demonstrate that camera calibration is possible using two views of a concentric circle with known size. A new method to determine the position of the projected center of the circle is introduced. Based on the accurate estimation of the projected circle center of two sets of 3-D concentric circles, the pro...
متن کاملAn Algorithm for the Detection of Multiple Concentric Circles
This paper presents a method for the detection of multiple concentric circles which is based on the Hough Transform (HT). In order to reduce time and memory space the concentric circle detection with the HT is separated in two stages, one for the center detection and another for the radius determination. A new HT algorithm is proposed for the center detection stage which is simple, fast and rob...
متن کاملDirect Camera Calibration Using Two Concentric Circles from a Single View
This paper describes a new camera calibration method based on ellipses properties. We demonstrate that the calibration is possible using one view of two concentric circles of known radii. Based on the estimation of the projected circle centers and on the ellipses properties as the perspective projection of circles, our algorithm estimates both the focal length and the pose and orientation of th...
متن کاملIllusory depth from moving subjective figures and neon colour spreading.
If a pattern of concentric circles, interrupted so as to produce the perception of a subjective bar extending from the centre to the periphery of the pattern, was slowly rotated in a plane perpendicular to the line of sight, observers reported seeing the bar slanted in depth and moving over complete and stationary concentric circles. When the interrupted concentric circles were completed by red...
